How it Works
Initial Customer enquiry
From initial enquiry we will discuss your individual needs and requirements and ensure that we customise the job specifically for you or your company.
Pre-site assessment
We will use existing satellite and Ordnance Survey maps as well as CAA aeronautical charts to look at the location and identify any hazards before the day of operations. If required a site visit can be arranged.
Customer Job File
We will put together a complete individual job file with a thorough set of site specific risk assessments.
Any Civil Aviation Authority regulatory requirements or Air Traffic Control permissions that may be required will be arranged by Air Hound.
On-site assessment
When we arrive on-site we will carry out a detailed inspection of the work area to ensure no additional or new hazards are identified.
Data collection
Our Pilot In Command will fly the mission using state of the art flight control software, this allows for highly autonomous, safe and accurate data collection. Each customised flight mission can be saved to allow for accurate, reliable and repeated missions at regular time intervals as required.
Data processing
Using professional photogrammetry software like Pix4D Mapper Pro we can produce highly accurate geo-referenced 2D maps and 3D models that easy to read and can compliment a wide range applications and software.
The data we collect can be processed in several ways including;
A high resolution map with each pixel of the original images correctly projected onto the digital surface model, leaving you no perspective distortions but only accurate geolocated surface model.

Full 3D triangular mesh with photorealistic texturing which also allows accurate distance, area and volumetric calculations. Elevation data with contour lines can also be added.

3D point clouds derived from overlapped images gives you the accurate location in the reconstructed object space, displayed in original RGB or classification colors.

Utilising a fully processed 3D map a digital fly through animation can be produced.
The zoom, orientation and direction can be fully customised allowing you to record your own unique 3D model video animation. This is ideal for presentations, promotional use and visual representations.

Depending on the thermal hardware used during data collection we can produce a radiometrically-accurate map with a temperature value of each pixel, or a spot temperature reading with a scaled overview.

We can capture and deliver up to 4k videos and 38Mp raw images depending on the hardware used to capture the data.

*With the use of ground control points (GCPs) it is capable of achieving survey grade real world accuracy of sub 0.02m.

Quality & Accuracy Report
All post-processed 2D and 3D data will come with a quality & accuracy report. This will validate the data collected.
This will include include but not limited to the following;
- Number of images used
- Number of images geolocated
- Geolocation accuracy
- Number matching points on each photo
- Processing time
- Accuracy of GCPs if used
Delivery of Data
Subject to your specific requirements the data can be delivered in a variety or ways from the raw photo or 4k video to LAS and XYZ point clouds as well as other CAD compatible files.
